Billy Don  Soden, Sr.
Mr. Billy Don Soden, Sr., of Bradford, Arkansas, formerly of Tuckerman, departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 75. He was born June 30, 1946 in Tuckerman, the son of Orbie Campbell Soden and Ruby Jane (Massey) Soden.

Mr. Soden spent his younger years working in the nightclubs of Jackson County. He was instrumental in bringing some of the biggest country acts of the day to the local clubs, including Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, Shelley West, and John Conley, just to name a few. Mr. Soden was an important part of the creation of a musical circuit, which would later become Rock N Roll Hwy 67.

He had a vast knowledge of all things Jackson County. Mr. Soden always had a tale to tell, and knew most people in the area. Most of all, he loved his family. He maintained close relationships with his siblings, children, and grandchildren all of his life.

Mr. Soden was preceded in death by one grandson, Nathan Kade Soden; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Davis of the home; one son, Billy Don Soden and Bonnie of Tuckerman; two daughters, Beki Soden Dunagan and husband, Tim of Searcy, and Misty Soden of Searcy; seven grandchildren, Kendall Soden, Kyle Soden Tiffee, Rachel Tiffee, Kennedy Soden, Kyler Soden, Kambelle Soden Hunt, and Conner Goss; his great grandchildren, Jet Tiffee, Karter Soden, Kensley Soden, and one due in May, Konlee Kade Hunt; two bonus daughters, Wendy Davis of Bradford, and Brandy Head and husband, Stephen of Sherwood; four bonus grandchildren, Morgan King, Taylor Head, Carley Head, and Emily Head; three brothers, Orbie Soden, George Soden and wife, Kay, and Charlie Soden and wife, Cindy, all of Anderson, Indiana; one sister, Debbie “DJ” Ricker and husband, Dave, of Anderson, Indiana; a lifelong friend, who was close as a brother, Pete Jiles; several nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with his brother, Mr. Charlie Soden officiating. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Kendall Soden, Kyle Tiffee, Kyler Soden, Conner Goss, Stephen Head, and Tim Dunagan. Honorary pallbearers are Pete Jiles, Gary Brock, Dennis Long, and Andy Adams.
