Brenda  Jones
Mrs. Brenda Louise (Jackson) Jones of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at the age of 80. She was born July 26, 1940 in Newport, the daughter of Maxine (Birmingham) and Clifton F. Jackson.
Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Newport High School, and earned a Certificate of Cosmetology from Newport Beauty School. She was a self-employed manicurist, working at many salons for over 50 years.
Mrs. Jones enjoyed crocheting, camping, and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Jones especially loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine (Birmingham) Jackson Crenshaw; her father, Clifton F. Jackson; and one brother, Lynn Jackson.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 62 years, Everett Edward Jones of the home; three sons, Dean Jones and wife, Leslie, of St. Ingoes, Maryland, Scott Jones and wife, Darla, of Henry, Illinois, and Richie Jones of Newport; two daughters, Mary Fears and husband, Ron, of Phoenix Arizona, and Sandy Bridgeman of Newport; one brother, Clifton Jackson and wife, Nancy, of West Memphis; seven grandchildren, Cory Drew Jones and wife, Tara, Jacqueline Warren and husband, Dale, Zachary Tyler Jones and wife, Mallorie, Johnathan Bridgeman, Mary Elizabeth Bridgeman, Crystal Nicole Lee and husband, Matt, and Crystopher Niko Jones; eleven great-grandchildren, Brantley, Teagan, Savannah, Harlee, Beau, Hailey, Addison, Aria, Asher, Maddison, and Bjorn; several nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
The Jones family will be holding a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Holden Avenue Church of Christ.
Honorary pallbearers are Cherry Johnson, Martha Wank, Joyce Baker, Ann Walton, Tina Vaughn, Crystal Drennin, Brenda Benish, and Newport High School Class of 1958.
