Burl  Ledbetter
Mr. Burl Leon Ledbetter, Jr., of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born September 18, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the son of Burl Leon Ledbetter, Sr., and Deborah (Walker) Ledbetter.
Mr. Ledbetter retired as a Medic from the United States Army at the rank of Master Sergeant following twenty-two years of service. Following his retirement from the Army, Mr. Ledbetter worked as the warehouse manager for Snellville and Macy’s Heading and Air in Georgia.
He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, who loved to fish, travel, and listen to classic rock. Mr. Ledbetter was a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the L.A. Rams athletic teams.
He was a member of the Tuckerman First Baptist Church.
Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his father, Burl Leon Ledbetter, SR.; and one sister, Patti Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrie (Frey) Ledbetter of the home; his mother, Deborah (Walker) Ledbetter of Heber Springs; four sons, Stephen Ledbetter and wife, Carly of Suwanee, Georgia, Adam Ledbetter and wife, Stevie of Hoschton, Georgia, Andy Ledbetter and wife, Brooke of Braselton, Georgia, and Daniel O’Leary of Tuckerman; four daughters, Rebecca Ledbetter of Little Rock, Melanie Bradshaw, and husband, Michael, of Little Rock, Amy Parrilla and husband, Luis of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Chani Mathis of Athens, Georgia; a special nephew, Chris Ledbetter; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Thursday with Bro. Dwight Turner officiating.
