Obituary for Cecil Lloyd Roberts

Cecil Lloyd Roberts, 79, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born January 26, 1942 in Dyess, Arkansas the son of Lloyd Pope and Emma Jane (Williams) Roberts. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Cecil Edward “Ed” Roberts. He is retired, of the Baptist faith, and a member of VFW in Harrisburg. Cecil also served his country in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge November 30, 1965. He enjoyed gardening, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Cecil is survived by three sisters: Carnell Simmons of Lepanto, Arkansas, Char (Claude) Street of Florida, Gayle (Byron) Goessele of Illinois, several Nieces and Nephews, and a Special Friend, Virginia Wilhoit. A Memorial Service will be held at later date by the family. Arrangements are Jackson’s Funeral Home
