Mr. Dale Turner of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born April 2, 1946 in Newport, the son of Bill Cecil and Othella (Ahart) Turner.

Mr. Turner was a graduate of Newport High School, and spent over 40 years at KNBY/KOKR radio station, retiring as General Manager. He enjoyed writing and playing music, and played lead guitar for many local bands, including Jeannie and The Guys, and The Distance Band.

Mr. Turner was an avid reader, who enjoyed watching movies with his daughter, watching sports, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Turner is survived by one daughter, Athena Turner Teall and husband, Tim of Upper Peninsula, Michigan; two grandchildren, Timothy Teall and William Teall, both of Upper Peninsula, Michigan; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.

Friends may visit at the funeral home, Monday, February 13, 2023, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday, at Watson Cemetery with Mr. Larry Jordan officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Kevin Pearce, David Wilson, Heath Shelby, and Grant Carey.
Honorary pallbearers are Doug Greeno, Charles Cooper, and Billy Atkinson.
