Danny Lee  Kimberling, Sr.
Mr. Danny Lee Kimberling, Sr., of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born April 5, 1950, in Newport, the son of Orbrey Lee and Evelean (Murphy) Kimberling.
Mr. Kimberling had worked in the auto detail business until his retirement. His hobbies included working on his old trucks, watching old westerns, mowing the yard, and fishing. He will be remembered as the kindest. meekest, and most generous man. Mr. Kimberling was of the Baptist belief.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Kimberling is survived by two sons, Danny W. Kimberling and David L. Kimberling both of Newport; one daughter, Kristy F. Bristow and husband, Quinton, of Terre Haute, Indiana; his mother, Evelean Sutterfield; two brothers, Thurlwood McClellan, Jr. of South Carolina, and David Edgar McClellan and wife, Sharon, of Batesville; two sisters, Jane Brock of Tuckerman and Mary E. Ross and husband, Sam, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Tesa Reed, Mathew Reed, Briley Long, Colby Gregory, and Zoey Kimberling; fifteen great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Linda Faye Higgins of Kansas; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Sunday 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Albert Camp officiating. Interment will be in Watson Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be David McClellan, Brad Brock, Chris Allen McClellan, Chris McAllister, Mathew Reed, Clay Wilson, Aaron Long and David Kimberling. Honorary pallbearers will be Thurlwood McClellan, Jr. and Daniel Wilson.
