Obituary for Don Peters

Don  Peters
Mr. Don Peters of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, February 01, 2022, at the age of 79. He was born March 18, 1942 in Paragould, the son of George Peters and Anna Nell (Holcomb) Peters Robertson.

Mr. Peters was a graduate of Newport High School, and a master electrician, who worked for George Kell Motors many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. Mr. Peters loved sports and attended all his grandchildren’s sporting events. His greatest love in life was for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Bobby Joe Peters.

He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Kieffer and husband, Mitchell, of Waldenburg; one sister, Carolyn Peters Kell of Swifton; three grandchildren, Hanna Honey and husband, Justin, Emily Newman and husband, Aaron, and Lyz Tiner; seven great grandchildren, Tripp Tiner, Beau Allen Honey, Samuel Tiner, Drew Newman, Tate Honey, Anna Kate Newman, and Audrey Newman; his nephews, Chris Clark, Kevin Peters, and Keith Peters; one niece, Sherri Bennett; friends and special caregivers, Sherrie Turner and Vickie Benson; and a lifetime of friends.

Friends may visit at the funeral home, Monday, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Gracelawn Cemetery with Mr. David Holcomb officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin Honey, Aaron Newman, Chris Clark, Andy Clark, Seth Clark, and Tom Carlyle. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Fox, Sonny Wayland, David Black, Jimmy Don Nicholson, Mickey Doyle, and L.J. Boyd.
