Obituary for Dora Jean Carson (Locke)
Mrs. Dora Jean (Locke) Carson, 88 of Jonesboro, Arkansas formerly of Harrisburg departed this life on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born March 10, 1932 in Harrisburg, Arkansas the daughter of Thomas and Suzanna (Sweat) Locke. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Carson on February 17, 2007, her sister, Irene Ragland, and one son, Archie Lee Jarrett. Dora was a homemaker, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. Dora is survived by two sons: Ronald Jarrett of Colt, Arkansas and Thomas Jarrett of Harrisburg, Arkansas, four step-sons: Jim, Gary, Jeff, and Terry Carson, and one daughter, Anna Teague of Jonesboro, Arkansas, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday ~ December 7, 2020 from 1:00 until 1:45 at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home and Graveside Service will follow at Bolivar Cemetery @ 2:00 P. M. Bro. Matt Smith will conduct the service and family will serve as active pallbearers. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
