Obituary for Doyle Lancaster

Mr. Doyle Lancaster, 84, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life May 15, 2023 at his home in Harrisburg. He was born July 15, 1938 in Spearlake, Arkansas the son of John Wesley and Eltha (Turnbow) Lancaster. Doyle after finishing school joined the Arkansas National Guard and served several years. He enjoyed hunting, car races, and spending time with his family and friends. His real passion was farming and he did that all his life. Doyle married Barbara Pack on November 27, 1960 and they have enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Lancaster, three sisters: Lacy Lee Andra, Mary Francis Hill, and Kathryn Laverne Lancaster. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lancaster of the home in Harrisburg, one son, Doug (Elisa) Lancaster of Harrisburg, one daughter, Sherri (John) Yauger of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one brother, J. C. “Pete” Lancaster of Columbia, Illinois, one sister, Ella Jane Deeds of Bensenville, Illinois, three grandchildren: Natalie (Zach) Bare, Zach (Meredith) Lancaster, and Nathan Yauger, and one great-grandchild, Grey Bare. Visitation will be Friday ~ May 19, 2023 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, family will come at 12:00 and friends will come at 12:30 until Service Time. Funeral Service will start at 2:00 P. M. Bro. Jerry Thompson and Nolan Dill will conduct the service. These men will serve as Active Pallbearers: Kurt Johns, Matt Fahr, Clark King, Hunter Jones, Nolan Evans, Darrell Loggins, and Craig Allen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Easter, John Jennings, Tim Easter, Randy Jones, Jimmy Carl King, John Franklin King, Ray Lee, and Sonny Condra. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
