Obituary for Emmalee Fortenberry
Mrs. Emmalee R. (Wilson) Fortenberry of Smithville, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the age of 62. She was born January 21, 1960 in Newport, the daughter of William Woodrow and Shirley May (Jones) Wilson.
Mrs. Fortenberry earned a CNA certification from White River Vo-Tech in Newport. Following certification, she worked as a CNA for Pinedale Nursing Home until her retirement.
Mrs. Fortenberry enjoyed fishing, camping, and sewing. She loved shopping, and especially loved spending time with her grandbabies.
Mrs. Fortenberry was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Dale Fortenberry; and her father, William Woodrow Wilson.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela Lindley and husband, Jeremy of Jonesboro, and Roxanna Tims and fiancé, Marvin Dunn of Lynn; six grandchildren, Lisa Goza, Tyler Mitchell, Paige Mitchell, Gracie Mitchell, Avarie Dunn and Kaitlin Lindley; great-grandchildren, Aria Mitchell, Zoey Tucker, Brynnlee Tucker, Kayden Tucker, Karter Lucas, Keen Casey, and Harper Tyler; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Dowell’s Chapel Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tyler Mitchell, Marvin Dunn, Edward Jarrett, Michael Lucas, Lantz Tucker, and Matthew Jarrett. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Lindley, Jerry Jones, Keen Casey, Kaden Tucker, and Karter Lucas.
