Obituary for Ermyl Pearle

Ermyl Pearle
Ermyl Elaine McFadden Pearle, 101, of Beedeville died Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was born December 6, 1919 in Eight Mile, Arkansas, to E.E. and Sallye McFadden.
Mrs. Pearle was a member of Beedeville Church of Christ and a true example of a Christian woman—she was baptized in Cache River when she was 15. She lived her life to the fullest and often marveled at how things had changed over her lifetime.
After graduation from high school, she attended Harding College and graduated in 1943 with a degree in education. Her college and young adult years coincided with World War II, and after spending a year teaching, she decided to serve her country by working at the ordnance plant in Jacksonville. It was there where she met her future husband, H.B. “Pudge” Pearle. They married in 1945, settled near her childhood home, and built a life and legacy that remains today.
After her time at the ordnance plant, Mrs. Pearle’s teaching career spanned nearly 30 years. During that time, she taught Chemistry, Home Economics, and Second Grade, but ultimately found that kindergarten was her favorite. For 20 years, she was a beloved kindergarten teacher who taught several generations of students in the Beedeville area. Even after retirement, it wasn’t unusual for her former students to come visit her home to introduce her to their spouses and children. She helped shape the lives of so many students and they have never forgotten her.
In addition to teaching and raising a family, Mrs. Pearle was an avid gardener, an amazing cook, and stayed physically active right up until her last days. She often advised her children and grandchildren that taking a walk outdoors and getting a little sunshine was always a good idea.
Mrs. Pearle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was happiest when her home was full of family and loved ones. She was a devout Christian who led her family by example. She could often be found reading her Bible or praying, and her strong relationship with God helped sustain her through life’s difficulties.
She loved to read fiction (especially books written by her daughters and granddaughter), but also stayed informed about current events and was even able to go vote in person during the November election.
Mrs. Pearle loved to laugh and refused to complain even in tough times. Instead, she remained thankful for the blessings God gave her and always managed to stay positive. All those who knew her will long remember her cheerful demeanor, kind spirit, and wise advice.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Pearle of Beedeville; five daughters, Sandy Gaskin and husband Bart of Beedeville, Lynda Sampson of Newport, Vicky Daughety of McCrory, Jan Reynolds and husband Steve of Trumann, and Christine Lynxwiler and husband Kevin of Highland; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Sampson of Newport, Annalisa Alliston and husband Johnny of Searcy, Jeff Sampson and wife Lauren of Newport, Jacob Reynolds and wife Diana of Oklahoma City, Megan Reynolds of Trumann, Jessa Gaskin of Beedeville, Kristianna Lynxwiler of Highland, Kaleigh Bobo and husband H.D. of Chesterfield, MO, and Taylor Roberts and husband Colton of Hardy; twelve great-grandchildren, Jack, Luke, Ally, Liam, Magnolia, Xander, Gatlin, Parker, Cooper, Jessica, Connor, and Abby, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Pearle was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, H.B. “Pudge” Pearle, her parents, E.E. and Sallye McFadden, 5 brothers, Donald, Mack, Jeff, Zane, and B.T. McFadden, 3 sisters, Jeanne Newman, Lola Madden, and Irene Hanley, and one grandson, Michael Sampson.
The grandchildren and their spouses are honored to serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, January 22, 2021, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Eightmile Cemetery.
