Georgia L.  Hohn

Miss Georgia L. Hohn, formerly of Diaz, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born May 8, 1931 in Newport, the daughter of Abe and Anna Josephine (Brock) Hohn.

Miss Hohn worked many years as a postal clerk for the US Post Office at Diaz. She was an avid reader and a talented artist, who enjoyed writing poetry and drawing. Miss Hohn had a genuine, caring spirit. She was always willing to offer prayer for her family and friends, whom she loved very much.

She was a member of Umstead Memorial Methodist Church.

Miss Hohn was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Anna Hohn; two brothers, Blount Hohn and John Bill John; one sister, Arnette Hohn; and one brother-in-law, Gene McIlvoy, Sr.

She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Paul Hohn and wife, Gerry of Detroit, Michigan, and Carl Hohn and wife, Wilma of Conway, Arkansas; one sister, Betty Lane McIlvoy of Jonesboro; two sisters-in-law, Vera Foster Hohn of Springfield, Missouri, and Mary Hohn of Diaz; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Cheshier Cemetery with Rev. Tony Hancock officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Gene Lee McIlvoy, Jr., Gregory Hohn, David Hohn, Tony Herring, Gary Gammon, and Scott Mannon.
