Obituary for James "Jamie" Carlton Jr.
Mr. Jamie Carlton of Tunica, Mississippi departed this life on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 64. He was born January 6, 1958 in Newport, Arkansas, the son of James Clement Carlton, Sr., and Betty Lou (Jacobs) Carlton.
Jamie was a 1976 graduate of McCrory High School. He was a casino worker, who enjoyed NASCAR, and loved music. Jamie also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and baseball.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Carlton, Sr.
Jamie is survived by his mother, Betty Lou (Jacobs) Carlton of Newport; one sister, LaManda Carol Carlton Sakalarios of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; his aunt, Mary Alice Carlton-Ward of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi; and a lifetime of friends.
There are no services planned at this time.
The family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society.
