What a dear friend we have lost. And Bud had a lot of friends. If he met someone new, he could usually find a common aquantance: "Do you know . . ." (and he'd throw out five or six names), usually discovering a match. It was his great gift. We chatted not long ago, reminiscing of old times and talking about people we knew. I am so grateful to have that last memory of Bud and our times together. He taught me a lot! We traveled to Denver, without a plan, and he showed me how to find a job, a house and importantly, how to fold jeans (I still fold them the same way and think off him every time I do). I am told that in high school he re-ironed his shirts, and though that may be hard to believe, I am quite sure it is true. Thankfully, he gave up the iron by the time I met him! He liked to have adventures, and I'd like to think we saved each other more than once on a few of these. I know he saved me. I also know how much his family meant to him, finding Cathy being a highlight, and how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. My love goes out to all of you. Peace Bud.
