Condolences

Condolence From: Patti and Don Ernst
Condolence: Our Dear Cathy and All the Kids,

We hve lost a loving and dear freind. At the end of every conversation Bud would always would say "I love you..." He had a great spirit and cared deeply about his precious family and friends. He was a steady and good friend and gladly shared his good will---and other great stuff!. Losing such a friend as Bud is hard but our shared memories will always endure. At a time when our politics is fractured Bud never waivered--he cared powerfully about creating a better world for his family and for our democracy. His heart was pure and good and he will be missed everyday. This goodness is his legacy as is his beloved family. Our hearts are boken but our memories will remain and all of us are better for having had Bud in our lives. We love you dear brother and Godspeed on your new journey.

Love forever, Patti, Don, Jonathan, Katie, Kristin Ernst

Condolence: Our last road trip together was five years ago this spring. Tomorrow coming to his memorial will be difficult, but being with family and sharing in their love and loss, will help bring back wonderful memories as we go forward. God Bless All of us. R. Hollis

Condolence From: Steve Ernst
Condolence: What a dear friend we have lost. And Bud had a lot of friends. If he met someone new, he could usually find a common aquantance: "Do you know . . ." (and he'd throw out five or six names), usually discovering a match. It was his great gift.

We chatted not long ago, reminiscing of old times and talking about people we knew. I am so grateful to have that last memory of Bud and our times together.

He taught me a lot! We traveled to Denver, without a plan, and he showed me how to find a job, a house and importantly, how to fold jeans (I still fold them the same way and think off him every time I do). I am told that in high school he re-ironed his shirts, and though that may be hard to believe, I am quite sure it is true. Thankfully, he gave up the iron by the time I met him!

He liked to have adventures, and I'd like to think we saved each other more than once on a few of these. I know he saved me. I also know how much his family meant to him, finding Cathy being a highlight,
and how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. My love goes out to all of you.

Peace Bud.
