Obituary for Jimmy H. Henley

Mr. Jimmy Harold Henley of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, March 1, 2021, at the age of 74. He was born August 3, 1946 in Swifton, the son of Harold Howard and Alma Canard Henley.
Mr. Henley worked for the Arkansas Highway Department Road Crew, retiring after 35 years of service. He worked hard to provide for his five children. Mr. Henley was a collector of coins, Avon bottles, knives, watches, and marbles. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and lawn mowers, and watching westerns. Mr. Henley loved taking care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren, Jacob Geaslin and Matthew Tubbs.
Mr. Henley is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann (Roberts) Henley of Tuckerman; five children, Melinda Geaslin and husband, Terry, of Newport, Lela Adams and husband, Mark, of Paragould, Jimmy H. Henley, II of Tuckerman, Cassandra Tubbs and husband, Nicholas of Tuckerman, and Amanda Hendricks and husband, George, of Tuckerman; one brother, Jerry Henley and Jana Robinson of Tuckerman; sixteen grandchildren, Tara Guth, Wesley Geaslin, Patrick Green, Cameron Lee, Ian Adams, Dylan Henley, Taylor Henley, Mackenzie Henley, Madelynn Tubbs, Makon Tubbs, Madden Tubbs, Makadyn Tubbs, Mia Tubbs, Shelby Hendricks, Sydney Hendricks, and Hudson Hendricks; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob Guth, Jaxon Guth, Chloe Guth, Little Wesley Geaslin, Willow Geaslin, and Theo Green.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Henley, II, Patrick Green, Cameron Lee, Dylan Henley, Taylor Henley, and Nicholas Tubbs. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren are honorary pallbearers.
