Obituary for Joe Mills
Joe Mills, 82, of Weiner, Arkansas departed this life Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born April 8, 1938 in Harrisburg, Arkansas the son of Johnnie and Amy (Evans) Mills. Joe married Miss Peggy Louise Wilhite on February 21, 1960 and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage before her passing in 2009. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Peggy (Wilhite) Mills, two brothers: Franklin and Ricky Mills, one son, Scotty Mills, and one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Bornhoft. Joe attended Cornerstone Methodist Church in Jonesboro and enjoyed studying his Bible daily. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and also spending time with family and friends. Joe worked for Comet Rice Mill in Harrisburg for several years and after getting a promotion moved to Stuttgart. Coming back to Weiner he worked at Coors and then established his business, the Mills Marketing in Waldenburg until retirement. He is survived by one son, Terry (Rhonda) Mills of Jonesboro, one daughter Marsha (William) Bornhoft of Harrisburg, 6 grandchildren: Nacole, Brooke, Chance, Jessica, Liz, and Taylor, and 10 great-grandchildren: Axel, Kellan, CaliJo, Lucy, Elsie, Lola, Vivian, Ava, River Jo, and Leighton. Graveside Funeral Service will be Saturday @ 2:00 P. M. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner. Memorial may be made to First United Methodist Church % Food Pantry 204 S. Main Street Harrisburg, Arkansas 72432 . Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home
