Joey  Lemay
Mr. Joey Douglas Lemay of Merriam Woods, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the age of 60. He was born March 19, 1962, the son of Charles Douglas and Shirley (Norris) Lemay.
He was a 1980 graduate of Newport High School, and graduated from Arkansas State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Communication degree. Mr. Lemay retired from Frito Lay in 2020 after 25 years of service. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan, who also enjoyed watching Arkansas Razorback sports. Mr. Lemay enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and was a grill master! He will be remembered as one of the kindest, gentlest, sweetest men you could ever meet.
Mr. Lemay was preceded in death by his father, Charles Douglas Lemay; and his brother-in-law, Christopher Young.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sabrina (Sublett) Lemay of the home; his mother, Shirley (Norris) Lemay of Bono, Arkansas; one sister, Angela (Lemay) Young of Memphis, Tennessee; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Stranger’s Home Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Kevin Simmons and Jay Lanning will serve as honorary pallbearers.
