Obituary for Laura George

Laura  George
Ms. Laura Pauline (Turner) George of Cash, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, September 19, 2022 at the age of 74. She was born August 1, 1948 in Newport, the daughter of Owen Bastin and Gladys Hellen (Guffey) Turner.
Ms. George was a homemaker, and a member of Pitts Baptist Church. She was baptized in the Wiener Christian Church. She enjoyed making flower arrangements for the church.
Ms. George loved the outdoors, and spent many hours fishing, hunting, painting, taxidermy, and especially gardening and tending to her flowers. She participated in horse shows with her brothers and sisters for many years. Her greatest love was that which she had for her grandbabies. They were her everything.
Ms. George was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Frank, Charles, Roy, Jean, Boyce, and Jim Turner; and two sisters, Bernice Eades and Martha Traywick.
She is survived by four children, Laura Boyce and husband, Terry of Searcy, Robert George and wife, Deanna of Jacksonville, Florida, Pamela Easter and husband, Terry of Pitts, and Tracy Jungers and husband, Troy of Newark; nine grandchildren, Brandy Boyce, Megan George, Tristen George, Sterling George, Andrew George, Erica LeMasters, Brooklyn Womble, Dustin Easter, and Wesley Gipson; eight great-grandchildren, Easton, Maddox, Braxton, Marlee, Boston, Aubri, Hudson Wayne, and Anna Lee; several nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Vivian King for her kindness and care.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Coffeyville Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Joe Turner, Timmy Turner, Perry Turner, Matthew Turner, Keith Turner, and Royce Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Turner, Danny Turner, and Terry Turner.
