Obituary for LeRoy Addington

LeRoy  Addington
Mr. LeRoy Addington of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 77. He was born November 2, 1944, the son of Eugene Joe and Nona (Honey) Addington.
Mr. Addington was a 1962 Newport High School graduate. After graduating from Roffler Barber College, he owned and operated Gentleman’s Quarters Barber Shop for twenty five years. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and the nightly news. Mr. Addington loved working in his yard and gardening, he was known as the “Tomato King”.
His greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Mr. Addington was a member of the Midway Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willie Joe Addington and Jerry Wayne Addington; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Tirey and Joyce Newby; and son in law, Archie Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Johnson) Addington; one son, Tony Addington of Leadwood, Missouri; two daughters, Cynthia Plummer and husband, Ray, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kippi Williams of Munford, Tennessee; two sisters, Linda Eskew and husband, Jimmy, of Amagon, and Betty Collins of Amagon; six grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Hunter Williams, and Brooklyn Williams Brock all of Munford, Tennessee, Chase Williams of Millington Tennessee, Brianna Braman of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kaitlyn Addington of Leadwood, Missouri; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Llano Robinson officiating. Interment will be at Memory Garden Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Hunter Williams, Jonathan Williams, Chase Williams, Archie Williams, Jamie Eskew, and Kenneth Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Bob McCollum.
