Obituary for Loa Savage

Loa  Savage
Mrs. Loa Louise (Schlarb) Savage of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the age of 90. She was born March 1, 1931 at Mishawaka, Indiana, the daughter of Harey E. and Dorcas (Parcell) Schlarb.
Mrs. Savage was a homemaker, and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, rag rug making, watching Little House on the Prairie, and playing piano. Mrs. Savage was an excellent cook, who enjoyed baking pies, and was known for her famous chili.
Her greatest joy in life came from time spent raising her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by one son, Jack Savage; two brothers; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Paul Savage of the home; one daughter, Jean Heath of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Geraldine Inglett of Sherman, South Dakota; five grandchildren, Melanie Savage, Angelia Heath, Virginia Patterson, Paul Savage, and Chelsea Savage; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Center Grove Cemetery at Charlotte.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandon Bennett, Logan Patterson, Ethan Patterson, Paul Savage, John Bullard, Shane Heath, Jason Patterson, and Hunter Heath.
