Mrs. Louise Deckelman, 95, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born January 9, 1927 in Lake City, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Pearlie Ellis. Louise was a loving wife of Berry N. Deckelman for 67 years and now they are united in Heaven for eternity. She was also a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved baking, quilting, Bible study, fishing and feeding anyone who came to visit. She was a faithful and active member of Harrisburg First Assembly of God Church for more than forty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Johnny Eugene Deckelman, brothers: Carlon Ellis and Tommie Ellis, sisters: Nora Jenkins, Charlene Davidson, and Patricia Van Don. She is survived by one son, Barry L. Deckelman and wife Pat, one daughter, Linda Cole and husband Fred, two brothers: Laymon Ellis and wife Roxie, and Jim Ellis, one sister, Donna Ellis, two granddaughters: Tammy Lynn Deckelman, and Amber Smith (Vestal), two great-granddaughters: Lauren Ballard (Rhett) and Alexandra McPherson, one great grandson, Hunter Vickers, and great-great-granddaughter, Kinley Ballard. A special thank you to the staff at Woodbriar Nursing Home and especially to those who worked on Hall Five. We would also like to thank the wonderful people at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. at the Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with services following at 2:00 P. M. Interment will be at Harrisburg Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
