Condolence From: Jackson's Funeral Homes Family
Condolence: Dear James Family,

We at Jackson's Funeral Home remember January 22, and the life of Marian James. It is our hope that this quote by Thomas Bailey Aldrich brings you comfort as you remember her today. "What is lovely never dies, but passes into another loveliness, stardust or sea-foam, flower or winged air."

You are in our thoughts,
Jackson's Funeral Homes Family

Condolence: There isn't a person who would meet Marian and not love her! So kind, so caring, so loving. My husband was a Captain with TWA and he often talked about her, as she had dated his friend. Condolences to all her family...RIP Marian and soar with the Angels!

Condolence: Walnut Street was a place of happiness and excitement in the late 40s into the 60s. Mostly it was a place of families with children ---a lot of them. Every house had two or three children and many mothers in those early days did not work. People gathered in the evenings and there were neighborhood birthday parties. Marian was often in the center of the fun and certainly in the center of the Tom Thumb weddings. She was always smiling in those early days and that is one of the things I remember ----her smile ....and the twinkle in her eyes. That smile carried her through life and made her many friends. When I think of Marian, I smile. Thank you, Marian, for giving me such wonderful memories of you. I didn't see you in these last years which makes me sad, but you will never be forgotten by those of us who can still remember the magic of Walnut Street.

Condolence: Marian was a special friend to me for most of my life. We shared friends,(I dated hers, she dated mine) sports, I played (she cheered, homecoming queen) & shared lockers all through high school (oh the stories we could tell). I was roommate to her college sweetheart. We continued to pass in & out of each others lives over the years. I would occasionally run into Marian in airports & sometimes even caught up on same flights. I was fortunate enough to spend time with her & George when they lived in the Kansas City area & again when they lived in Little Rock for a short time. A life well lived & I am honored to have known her. Farewell Marian.

Condolence: There is a bright new star shining in the Universe! I was extremely fortunate to meet Marian in the late 70’s when I married her cousin,Bob. We became best friends the instant we met...I imagine that was true for many of her friends! We bonded over sharing recipes, our love for wild colorful clothes, funky jewelry and just sitting and chatting over a glass of wine and laughter-so much laughter! A very special memory for me was when my Mom was diagnosed with cancer-Marian made a special trip to Iowa, where I was staying with my Mom just so they could finally meet. That was Marian and her big generous and caring heart. I’ll never forget that amazing gesture of love! There was no one like her...she was incredibly unique and so special. I will miss her forever. Rest In Peace my beautiful friend. Condolences to all who love her.
