Obituary for Mildred McLeod

Mildred  McLeod
Mrs. Mildred “Millie” McLeod of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on January 1, 2021, at her home, at the age of 80. She was born March 3, 1940, in Princeton, Kentucky, the daughter of Albert Perry Fuller and Mary Elizabeth (Humble) Fuller.
Mrs. McLeod was retired from American Lantern and Norandal. She had worked as a cashier at Wal Mart for five years until her last retirement. Mrs. McLeod had many hobbies including, cooking, sewing, bowling, and watching game shows. She loved shopping for everyone and singing karaoke. She was very independent and straight forward. She enjoyed going to casinos. Her greatest love was her family. Ms. McLeod will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and for her work ethic and always putting everyone before herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Alice Lena Fuller and Lily Pearl Thompson.
Mrs. McLeod is survived by four daughters, Vicki Lynn Moore of Batesville, Saundra Michele Alvarez and husband, Adrian, of Aubrey, Texas, Kelli Denise Huskey and husband, Rickey, of Batesville, and Tammi Renee Ivy and husband, John, of Grubbs; one brother, James Franklin Fuller and wife, Vi, of Evansville, Indiana; two sisters, Violet June Hobbs and husband, Eddie, of Damascus, Patricia Faye Herrera and husband, Rueben, of Chama, Colorado; thirteen grandchildren, Aundrea Shepherd, Cody Shepherd, Alexander Alvarez, Karina Davalos, Kirsten Alvarez, Patrick Schwab, Dustin Moore, Zella Salazar, Tyler Moore, Jacob Campbell, Bridget Huckabee, Brenna Ivy, and LeighAnn Brock; ten great grandchildren, Kaedin Hellmers, Charity Pierce, Aniyah Pierce, Kayla Alvarez, Kyleigh Alvarez, Tinslee Huckabee, August Huckabee, Chase Huckabee, Mannie Ray Brock, and Sailor Coe Brock; and a special friend, who was the love of her life, Norman Johnson of Batesville and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon Gates officiating. Interment will follow in Coffeyville Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Rickey Huskey, John Ivy, Adrian Alvarez, Dustin Moore, Tyler Moore, Lavon Huskey, Kirsten Alvarez, Kaedin Hellmers and Brenna Ivy. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Johnson, Alexander Alvarez, Jacob Campbell, Cody Shepherd, and her Wal-Mart co-workers.
