Obituary for Presley Freeman

Mr. Presley Lynn Freeman of Oil Trough, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was born April 1, 1950 in Batesville, Arkansas, the son of Ethyl and Letty Ruth (Hays) Freeman.

Mr. Freeman was a graduate of Oil Trough High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. On July 9, 1977 Mr. Freeman married Miss Pixie Lee Goyne, and together they enjoyed 44 years.

Mr. Freeman was very athletic, playing softball and riding bicycles. He enjoyed raising and riding horses, and was an avid Razorback fan. Mr. Freeman loved the outdoors, working in his yard, and especially spending time with his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was kind and gentle, and had a selfless, giving spirit.

Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth Freeman; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Addington.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pixie Lee (Goyne) Freeman of the home; five brothers, Gaylord Freeman and wife, Linda, of Oil Trough, Henry “Red” Freeman of Little Rock, Raymond Freeman and wife, Cathy of Tuckerman, Wayne Freeman and wife, Cara of Oil Trough, and Tim “Bobo” Freeman and wife Sarah of Oil Trough; one sister, Letty Sue Addington of Oil Trough; one brother-in-law, James Goyne; many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.

Visitation will be held at the Oil Trough City Hall, Saturday, April 16, 2022, at noon.
