Obituary for Rick Holcombe

Rick  Holcombe

Mr. Rick Holcombe of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the age of 62. He was born November 5, 1959 at Batesville, the son of James and Peggy (Blythe-Rice) Holcombe.
Mr. Holcombe was a graduate of Newark High School, and worked in maintenance at Arkansas Steel. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and raising cattle.
Mr. Holcombe was preceded in death by one brother, Infant Terry Holcombe; one sister, Janet Banks; his parents; and his mother-in-law, Yuvonna Kunkel.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lecia (Kunkel) Holcombe of the home; one daughter, Chauncey Hart of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Jaci Green and Kaleb Green of Jonesboro; one brother, Greg Holcombe and wife, Linda of Newark; three nieces, Mandy Pratt, Shandy Ingles, and April Schmidt; one nephew, Chris Banks; several great-nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, Jimmy Kunkel of Evening Shade; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Sunday, 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday at Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Holcombe Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are David Davis, Chris Banks, Jordan Akins, Roger Pratt, Kaleb Green, and Vincent Jadlong. Greg Holcombe will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
