Obituary for Ronnie Kieffer

Ronnie  Kieffer
Mr. Ronnie T. Kieffer of Amagon, Arkansas departed this life on May 16, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born on April 2, 1950, in Newport, Arkansas, the son of Ryland and Ruth (Lewis) Kieffer of Weiner, Arkansas.
Mr. Kieffer was a 1968 graduate of Weiner High School. Along with his brothers, Ronnie farmed rice and soybeans, and together, they owned Kieffer Brothers Fish Farms. Later on he also raised crawfish and turtles. Mr. Kieffer enjoyed fishing with his brother, Jackie, and his best friend, Leo Ryan. Ronnie also enjoyed all types of hunting, raising a garden, being with friends and family, and he loved cooking. He had two dogs, Smoocher and Sadie, which he loved dearly. Throughout Ronnie’s lifetime, he had killed over 147 turkeys. Mr. Kieffer was such an avid hunter that he had been nicknamed “Butcher”.
Mr. Kieffer was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ada Belle (Gill) Lewis; paternal grandparents, Jake and Tilley (Ziegenhorn) Kieffer; and one niece, Sarah Kieffer Carpenter, of Batesville.
Ronnie is survived by two brothers, Jackie Kieffer and wife, Maggie, of Amagon and Mark Kieffer and wife, Faye, of Mountain View; one sister, Dana Fahr and husband, Kenny, of Searcy; and a lifetime of family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ryland L. Kieffer, Alex Kieffer, Bryan Kieffer, Colby Fahr, Jackie Kieffer, and Mark Kieffer. Honorary pallbearers are Leo Ryan, Troy Greeno, Mark Greeno, Kenny Fahr, Marcus Balch, Tim Gartman, Mary Donna Barnett, and Mitchell Kieffer.
