Ruben  Honey

Mr. Ruben Honey of Amagon, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the age of 92. He was born December 31, 1929 in Amagon, the son of Lenzie Washington and Fannie (Largent) Honey.

Mr. Honey was a lifelong farmer, and a member of the Algoa Church of Christ. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Korea. Mr. Honey enjoyed hunting and was a one time member of the Jackson County Coon Hunting Club. He loved to feed and watch squirrels on his farmland, and visit with his friends.

Mr. Honey was preceded in death by his sons, Kevin Vincent Honey and Infant Robin Lynn Honey; three brothers, Darrell Honey, L.W. “Butch” Honey, and Talmadge Honey; three sisters, Wanda Joplin, Vivian Honey, and Glenda Hicks; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Mae (Vincent) Honey of the home; many nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Garden Cemetery at Johnstown, with Mr. Mike Farrah officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Honey, Ty Honey, Will Honey, Ricky White, Tony Johnson,
and Sean Buford.
