Obituary for Thomas Earl Tubbs

Thomas Earl  Tubbs

Mr. Thomas Earl Tubbs of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the age of 64. He was born December 5, 1958 in Newport, the son of Johnnie Calvin and Raye (Chatman) Tubbs.

Tommy was a graduate of Grubbs High School. He worked as the owner and operator of The Supply Depot and TNT Waterworks many years. He enjoyed working, and was a gifted mechanic, with the ability to take things apart and put them back together again. Tommy enjoyed doing genealogy, traveling, and going to yard sales and flea markets.

He especially loved fishing, and spending time with his family.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents.

His is survived by his wife, Lisa (Garrison) Tubbs of the home; three sons, Dustin Church and wife, Jillian, of Swifton, Stewart Tubbs and wife, Kelsey of Smartsville, California, and Travis Church and wife, Jamie, of Swifton; three daughters, Brandy Tubbs and Michael Schulz of Grubbs, Alisha Rogers and husband, Shane, of Tuckerman, and Elita Lane and husband, James, of Wichita, Kansas; a bonus daughter, Michelle Swim and husband, Anthony of Horn Lake, Mississippi; sixteen grandchildren, Gunner, Chase, Harley, Ethan, Colby, Tyler, Aaron, Trace, Cole, Zeke, Zane, Easton, Matthew, Johnnie, Payden, and Madelyn; twelve great-grandchildren, Grayson, Elayna, Chyler, Carter, Olivia, Cade, Micah, Nash, Brixton, Cooper, Corbin, and Oakley; one brother, Johnny “Bozie” Tubbs and wife, Judy of Newark; two sisters, Ruth Ann Irwin of Batesville, and Mendy Dinsmore of Sutton, West Virginia; many nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers; and a lifetime of friends.

Visitation is Monday, February 27, 2023 at Swifton First Assembly of God, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Carl Neal and Bro. Kendall Felton officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Stewart Tubbs, Dustin Church, Travis Church, Shane Rogers, Michael Schulz, and James Lane. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as, Nina Wilson, Kaitlyn Adams, Sharon Huskey, Becky Clark, Brandy Tubbs, and his other caregivers.
