Obituary for William Lynn Pounders

William  Lynn  Pounders
Mr. William Lynn Pounders, 56, of Hardy, Arkansas departed this life at White Rive Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born June 23, 1966 in Harrisburg, Arkansas the son of James and Patsy (Freeman) Pounders and they preceded him in death. Lynn was also preceded by one sister, Jennifer Renea Pounders. He worked as a Farmer on the Freeman’s Farm alongside his Dad. He also was a School Bus driver in Cross County and in Harrisburg schools for 20 years and he served as Chief of Security at River Bend Park in Hardy, Arkansas. Lynn was of the Assembly of God belief, an avid Razorback fan: football, basketball and softball. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. If he wasn’t picking at you, that meant he didn’t like you! Lynn also enjoyed watching his granddaughters play travel and high school softball. Lynn is survived by his wife, Vicky Lyn (Pierce) Pounders of the home in Hardy, two sons: Andy and wife Barbara Casalman of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Glen Dugan and Kristi Poe of Newport, one step-son, Dylan Sefers of Columbus, Texas, one daughter, Amy and husband Todd Morris of Harrisburg, Arkansas, one step-daughter, Courtney Summitt of Novi, Michigan, 7 grandchildren: Taiera and husband Bo Barnes, Zaylie Poe, Jordynn Poe, Andrew Dugan, Daylee Morris, Hawlee Morris, and Allee Morris, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday, March 31, 2023 from 1:00 until Service Time at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home. Service time is 2:00 P. M. in the chapel with Bro. Chris Proulx conducting the service, these men will serve as honorary pallbearers: Steven Pierce, Kenneth Bass, Timmy Bass, Floyd Tucker, Stevie Tucker, Stanley Pierce, and Carl Ramey.
