Mrs. Wilma Ilene Gibson, 80, of Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life Sunday, December 11, 2022 in NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born December 5, 1942 in Mounds, Illinois the daughter of Horace and Juanita Herndon. Her parents both preceded her in death and two brothers: William and Lloyd Allen Herndon. She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Wilma married Mr. Franklin Gibson June 24, 1961 and they have enjoyed sixty years of marriage. Wilma is survived by her husband, Franklin Gibson, one son, Albert (Debbie) Gibson of Jackson, Mississippi, one daughter, Terry Ross of Jonesboro, Arkansas, two brothers: Charles Thomas (Ruth Ann) Herndon of Jonesboro and Michael Kent (Scotty) Herndon of Illinois, one sister, Susie Cox of Oklahoma City, OK, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday ~ December 16 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 until Service Time. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P. M. and Family and Friends will serve as active pallbearers. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
