Obituary for Yvonne Hamrick (Hobbs)

Mrs. Yvonne (Hobbs) Hamrick, 83 of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Wednesday, May 10, 2023 with her family at home. She was born September 20, 1939 in Trumann, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Virgil Grover Hobbs Sr. and Goldie Mae (Hayes) Hobbs. Her parents preceded her in death, she was also preceded by her husband, Thomas Joseph Hamrick and one son, Mike Hamrick. Yvonne married Thomas Joseph on August 10, 1957 and they enjoyed forty-three years together before his passing on November 24, 2000. She graduated from Trumann High School, was a homemaker that took care of her family, and she worked several years in Glissen’ Service station with her family. She enjoyed knitting, watching birds, working in the garden, going to the lake, and spending time with family and friends. Yvonne is a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Arkansas. She is survived by one son, Joe (Margie) Hamrick of Harrisburg, one daughter, Sherri (Glen) Leonard of Harrisburg, one daughter-in-law, Brenda Hamrick also of Harrisburg, one brother, Butch Hobbs of Trumann, Arkansas, two grandchildren: Chris (Emma) Hamrick and Elizabeth (Eston) Leonard Allen, three great-grandchildren: Anna Kate Hamrick, Thomas Curtis Hamrick, and Conor Allen. Visitation will be Friday, May12, 2023 at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Funeral Service will follow on Saturday in the chapel at 10:00 A.M. with Bro. Kenny Guy McMahan conducting the service. Active pallbearers will be: Chris Hamrick, J R Criner, Kelly Smith, Kurt Johns, Adam Farmer, Mike Hamilton, Marlin Martin, and Jason McGee. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
