Obituary for Arnold Doyle Davis

Arnold Doyle  Davis
Doyle Davis, 70, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Friday, September 27, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born December 4, 1948 at Harrisburg, Arkansas the son of Deward and Betty Jewell (Thomas) Davis. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents: Deward and Betty Davis, one brother, Phillip Davis, one sister, Vickie Fulbright, and a beloved son-in-law, Charlie Moore. Doyle was of the Baptist faith, a member of American Legion Post #14, and served his country in the Navy-USN SeaBee 7th. While serving in the Navy Doyle received: National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and Expert Rifleman for the year 1969. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betsy (Austin) Davis of the home in Harrisburg, two daughters: Tracy (Davis) Moore also of Harrisburg, and Christy and husband Keith Albertson of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren: Taylor (Moore) King and husband Josh, Keely Moore, both of Harrisburg, S. Cade and Connor Albertson of Houston, Texas, two great-grandchildren: Adyison and Brenten King of Harrisburg, two brothers: Jimmy and Mike Davis of Wynne, one sister, Elaine Johnson of Cherry Valley, Arkansas. Bro. Jason Goad and Bro. Chance Watson will conduct the service. These men will serve as active pallbearers: David Wallace, Donald Wallace, John Wallace, Mike Wallace, Calen Wallace, and Cody Wallace. These men will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Floyd Tucker, Charlie Newcomb, Ronnie Wright, Barry Massengill, and Billy Joe Durham. Graveside services will be 3:00 Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Old Harrisburg Cemetery with visitation at Jackson’s Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00~Service Time. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
