Obituary for Boyd Wayne Kirker

Boyd Wayne Kirker
Mr. Boyd Wayne Kirker of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the age of 47. He was born February 14, 1974 in Newport, the son of Boyd Junior Kirker and Alma Delores Thornton.
Wayne enjoyed fishing and tinkering. He could fix just about anything. He loved animals, and was always willing to help Jolynn with her grooming business.
Wayne was very proud of his recovery, calling himself a “God delivered addict.” His motto was “if God ain’t in it, then we can’t win it.” He was thankful every day for the life God had given him.
Above all else, Wayne loved his family. He was a proud father and peepaw.
He was an active member of First Church UPCI, at Batesville.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Alma; his maternal grandparents, Tom and Offie Thornton; and his paternal grandparents, ML Kirker and Lucille Kirker Dorsy.
He is survived by his wife of almost four years, Jolynn (Davis) Kirker of the home; three daughters, Lilly Howard of Newport, Aimee Joe Langston and husband, Dustin of Newport, and Katie McLain and husband, Tim, of Searcy; his father and step-mother, Boyd Junior and Lesia Kirker; seven grandchildren, Zander, Liam, Dax, Bethany, Everest, Nicholas, and Maddix; two brothers, Billy Aron Kirker and wife, Autumn of Searcy, and Daniel Autry and wife, Kacee of Newark; one sister, Wendy Lynn Kirker Goodman and husband, Ed, of Newark; and a lifetime of friends.
The family will be conducting a memorial service 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19th at the First Church of Batesville.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Merchants and Planters Bank.
Arrangements by Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.
