Obituary for Eva Hulen

Eva  Hulen
Mrs. Eva Bee (Townsley) Hulen of Cabot, formerly of Swifton, departed this life on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born November 7, 1933 in Barnyard, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Julia (Smith) Townsley.
On July 29, 1950, Miss Eva Townsley was married to Mr. Walter E. Hulen, and together they spent 60 years.
Mrs. Hulen was a homemaker and caregiver, and was an apartment manager for Southwest Apartments in Little Rock.
She enjoyed crafting, quilting, fishing and camping. More than anything, her greatest joy was time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hulen was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cabot.
Mrs. Hulen was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Hulen; one son, Howard D. Hulen; two brothers, Colonel Townsley and Kelly Townsley; three sisters, her twin, Ida Lee Ganbrel, Cleda Stoller, and Marietta Marr; one granddaughter, Amy Kelley; and one grandson, Jeremy Slagley.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Faye Slagley and husband, Bob of Cabot, and Donna Gail York, and husband, Charles of Bryant; one daughter-in-law, Linda Hulen of Brookland, Arkansas, formerly of Amelia, Virginia; one brother, Clarence Ray Townsley and wife, Louellen of Michigan; five sisters, Beulah Genflak of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Jean Warring of Pittston, Pennsylvania, and Agnes Stacy, Vivian Ledford, and Fern Ledford, all of Barbourville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Delane Hulen, and wife Becky of Mt. Vernon, TX, Jonathan Slagley, and wife Grace of North Little Rock, Laureva Atfield of Bryant, Charles Lee York of Little Rock, Corey York, and wife Sharon of Cabot, Darin Owens, and wife Leigh of Black Oak, Devin Owens, and wife Paula of Jonesboro, and Kerri Hamm of Amelia, Virginia; 34 great grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Swifton Baptist Church with Bro. Ray Taffar, Mr. Bob Slagley, and Mr. Corey York officiating. Interment will follow at Swifton Cemetery. Friends may visit Swifton Baptist Church Friday at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
