Mr. Harold J. “Giz” Phillips of Higden, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the age of 74. He was born January 26, 1948 at Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Harold “Duke” and Clara (Vadino) Phillips.
Mr. Phillips was a graduate of Girard High School in Ohio, and a veteran of the Navy Reserves. He retired from Arkansas Steel, as Maintenance Supervisor in 2014, following 31 years of service. Mr. Phillips enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in his shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Richard.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucretia (Jacobs) Phillips of the home; one son, Richard Phillips and wife, Tabatha of Higden; five grandchildren, Jeffery Phillips, Haylee Denham, Sara Payne, Austin Payne, and Gabriel McDaniel.
