Obituary for Harold J. Webb

Harold J.  Webb
Mr. Harold Jennings Webb of Swifton, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the age of 87. He was born May 15, 1934 in Swifton, the son of Henry Franklin and Ollie Elizabeth (Sullivan) Webb.
Mr. Webb grew up in Swifton. He was a high school graduate of Swifton High in 1952. Following graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Pauline Lloyd. They moved to California shortly after and he worked as a machinist until he moved back home to Swifton in 1967 to farm with family. He was a self-employed farmer until his retirement in 2000. He continued to grow his prize watermelons, once growing one that weighed 134 pounds. He was an active member of the Swifton Church of Christ, serving as a teacher and song leader for many years. He was an avid fisherman. He loved fishing but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harold Douglas Webb; four brothers, Billy Webb, Ewell Webb, Bobby Webb, and Pete Webb; two sisters, Christina Gibbs and Remona Harvey; and his parents.
Mr. Webb is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Pauline (Lloyd) Webb; one son, Tim Webb and wife, Kathy, of Denison, TX; two daughters, Debbie Gilmore and husband, Bobby, of Swifton, and Tina Webb of Swifton; one sister, Carolyn Wheeler and husband, Bill; five grandchildren, Keith Gilmore and wife, Jami, of Swifton, Rodney Gilmore of Swifton, Samantha Webb of Lexington, Kentucky, Paige Roussos and husband, Chris, of Owingsville, Kentucky, and Amber Webb of Swifton; eight great grandchildren, Britton Gilmore, Wheatlee Gilmore, Scarlett Gilmore, Knox Roussos, Bo Roussos, Chase Roussos, Braden Roussos, and Preston Roussos; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at Jackson’s Funeral Home, Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Swifton Church of Christ. Interment will be in Swifton Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Keith Gilmore, Rodney Gilmore, Michael Webb, Jeff Webb, Marty Harvey, and Chris Roussos. Honorary pallbearers will be good friend, J. Q. Harvey and the men of Swifton Church of Christ.
