Obituary for Jeanette Ailene Alstadt

Mrs. Jeanette (Aileen) Alstadt, 71 of Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life Friday, April 28, 2023 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born April 24, 1952 in Campbell, Mo. her parents were: James and Virginia (Kitchen) Bedwell. She married Ben Alstadt on August 1, 1975 and they have enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage. After she graduated from Piggott High School in 1970, Jeanette received her Master degree at ASU and then got a Specialist Degree in Education. She taught school for more than forty years. She enjoyed watching western movies on television, playing dominoes, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Bedwell, one brother, Jerry Bedwell, and one sister, Janice Gott. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Ben Alstadt, her mother, Virginia (Kitchen) Bedwell, one daughter, Jennifer (James) Craft of Jonesboro, three brothers: Johnny Bedwell and Joe Bedwell both of Jonesboro and Jim Bedwell of Sherwood, two sisters: Judy Broughton of Sherwood and Janie Jones of Maulden, Mo., two grandchildren: Kane Hagan of Golds NC and Riley Craft of Jonesboro. Visitation will be Tuesday at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday in the chapel at 1:00 P. M. with Pastor Matt Smith conducting the service. Active pallbearers will be: Kevin Caldwell, James Craft, Jeff Bedwell, Jay Cooper, Chris jones, and Kane Hagan. Interment will follow in McDaniel Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas
