Condolence From: Jackson's Funeral Homes Family
Condolence: Dear Hodges Family,

We at Jackson's Funeral Home remember March 23, and the life of Kaneaster Hodges. It is our hope that this quote by Thomas Bailey Aldrich brings you comfort as you remember him today. "What is lovely never dies, but passes into another loveliness, stardust or sea-foam, flower or winged air."

You are in our thoughts,
Jackson's Funeral Homes Family

Condolence: One of the big blessings in my life was growing up with Ken and always being treated by Kaneaster and Lindley like a member of the family. Kaneaster was one of the most accomplished and successful people I ever had the high honor of knowing while at the same time being one of the most down to earth. There are too many great stories to share here but I will share one that captures Kaneaster's great and unique nature pretty well. On March 10, 1979 when Ken and his two best friends (myself and Cliff Plegge) wanted to to go see our first rock concert Not only did he drive us all the way to the Pine Bluff Convention Center to see the rock band Boston but he also put in his ear plugs, bought a ticket and went to the show. Now maybe he went just so he could keep an eye on us since we were only 13. But, we never knew it because he had as much fun as we did and I'm fairly sure we were the only kids there with an ordained minister, an attorney, and a beloved Arkansas statesman all rolled up into one. As sad as it is to lose someone like Kaneaster. That sadness is mitigated by the fact that you ever got to know him in the first place. He was one of the greats, He will be missed but never forgotten.
