Condolence From: Jackson's Funeral Homes Family
Condolence: Dear Dukes Family,
We at Jackson’s Funeral Home remember August 1, and the life of Linda "Shorty" Dukes. It is our hope that this quote by Thomas Bailey Aldrich brings you comfort as you remember her today. “What is lovely never dies, but passes into another loveliness, stardust or sea foam, flower or winged air.”
You are in our thoughts,
Jackson’s Funeral Homes Family

Condolence: Heartfelt sympathy to Charles Ed and Family. It's been way too long since I've made the trip to NE Arkansas, but my memories of Shorty are still vivid: Smiling more often than not, her laughter and sense of humor is what I remember most. It was obvious she had joy in her life and a caring, loving heart for her family and those around her. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you today. Wishing you all comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Roger, Parthena and Cameron Owens

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Linda Ray’s passing. Linda Ray, Nyoka, and my mom (Bettye Howard Davis) were friends throughout their childhood and teenage years. I loved hearing the stories of them running the roads and community of Johnstown and all of their shenanigans. My deepest sympathies to Charles Ed, Blake, Andrea, Sarah, and Carla. Your mama was one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever known. May God hold you close in comfort.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about Linda Ray. We grew up together in Johnstown. We had a good upbringing working in the fields and having a ball! They were good times.
