Obituary for Mary Ann Graddy

Mary Ann  Graddy

Mrs. Mary Ann (Thielemeir) Graddy of Clover Bend, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the age of 94. She was born September 9, 1926 at Running Lake, Arkansas, the daughter of Ben and Catherine “Katie” Cecilia (Baltz) Thielemeir.
Mrs. Graddy spent many years raising her children and taking care of her family before taking a job at the First National Bank of Lawrence County as a bank teller. She worked the election polls many years in Clover Bend, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and quilting.
Mrs. Graddy loved her family, and cooking Sunday dinner for them was the true joy of her life. She enjoyed watching her son work in the fields from planting to harvest, and traveling with her daughters to antique stores.
Mrs. Graddy was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at Walnut Ridge, and a long time member of the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Edward Graddy; one daughter, Catherine Wyerick Kilgore; one son-in-law, James Wyerick; five brothers, Lawrence, Corneil, Bernard, Vitus, and Peter Paul Thielemeir; and two sisters, Esther Wurtz and Lee Mondy.
Mrs. Graddy is survived by one son, Steve Graddy and wife, Lee Ann of Jonesboro; three daughters, Jean Fowler and husband, Tommy of Jonesboro, Mary Reid and husband, Steve, of Newport, and Linda Black and husband, David of Newport; one son-in-law, Kyle Kilgore of Maumelle; eleven grandchildren, Lindsey Wyerick and fiance, Frank Cox, Patrick Wyerick and wife, Laura, Andrew Kilgore, Tad Terrell and wife, Morgan, Kara Beth Harbers and husband, Clayton, Preston Graddy, Reed Graddy, Logan Bratcher Wright, Grant Reid, Ben Black and wife, Kelsey, and Grant Black and wife, Hannah; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Rosary services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Walnut Ridge. Visitation will follow 10:15- 10:45, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery at Engelberg, Arkansas.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at The St. Bernard's Villa Rainwater Memory Care Assisted Living, for their loving care of Mary Ann.
