Mr. Wesley Scott Vinson of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the age of 59. He was born August 6, 1962 in Monroe, Louisiana, the son of William Donald Vinson, Sr., and Barbara (McVay) Vinson Munnerlyn.
Scott was a very hard worker who worked many years as a farmer for McClain Farms. He enjoyed fishing, loved horses, and especially loved his dogs, Sparky and Bullett. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, William Donald Vinson, Sr.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Barbara and Darrel Munnerlyn of Newark; one son, Erick Riley of Utah; two daughters, Stephanie Lyon and husband, Kaleb of Greenbrier, and Cherie Vinson of Oklahoma; one brother, Donald Vinson, Jr., and wife, Essie Jane of Newark; two grandchildren, Trinity and Kaydence; two nephews, Adam and Grant Vinson; one niece, Lacy West; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Friday at Maple Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Adam Vinson, Grant Vinson, Brody Vinson, Ricky Jennings, David McClain, and Dylen McClain.
