Mrs. Susan (Miller) Fletcher of the Remmel Community, departed this life on Wednesday, December 20, 2022, at the age of 65. She was born March 29, 1957, in Newport, the daughter of Maurice and Dorothy Lee (Moss) Miller.
Susan was a 1975 graduate of Newport High School, and a member of Remmel Church. She spent several years as an insurance agent, working for Shelter Insurance. Susan then owned and operated Retirement Annuities. In recent years, she operated “The Back Forty”, a booth dedicated to selling boutique clothing, shoes, and jewelry.
Susan especially loved spending time with her grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Dorothy Miller.
Susan is survived by her husband of 47 years, Darrel Fletcher of the home; one daughter, Ashli Elaine Fletcher Grady of Remmel; two grandsons, Jordan David Grady and Jalen Tyler Grady; two brothers, Harold Dean Miller of Remmel, and Ronnie Maurice Miller and wife, Carla, of Huntsville, Alabama; her dog, Max; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Remmel-McCall Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are David Davis, Jeff Long, Russ Fletcher, Ron Mount, Marty Nance, and David Grady. Eli Miller is an honorary pallbearer.
