Ms. Thelma was an inspiration and mentor for me and my wife as we substitute taught at Newport. Thelma showed respect for all of her students and how we could best help them with their difficulties. She loved her family and her friendship with my family was precious. I chose a second career helping adults with developmental delays, because of Thelma's influence.
